Sweden’s Presidency of the Council of the EU

In spring 2023, Sweden will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This means that Sweden will lead the work in the Council.

The Swedish Presidency programme outlines the Swedish Presidency’s main focus and priority issues in the various configurations of the Council.

One of the main focus issues is Employment, social policy, health care and consumer affairs.
