Important work for everyone to feel included in their workplaces

We are producing a research-based guide to help managers, HR and safety representatives in workplaces to create a more inclusive workplace for LGBTQ people. The material will be launched in 2024.

With the guide, we want to spread knowledge about how a work environment can be created that is open and accepting for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender. The material will provide practical tools to help managers, HR and safety representatives in workplaces to create a more inclusive workplace. The guide will contain fact boxes, reflection questions and exercises to give/get support dealing with the work environment at your own workplace.

Based on research

A previous government assignment “The organizational and social work environment of LGBTQ people, with a focus on the situation of transgender people” showed that microaggressions, discrimination, harassment and poorer career opportunities are some of the things that LGBTQ people are exposed to in their workplaces. The results from that assignment form the basis of the guide that we are now producing.

Translation to English

The material is expected to be completed in 2024 we will actively work on communicating and disseminating the support material so that it can be of practical use in the workplaces. As there is great interest in these issues in Europe, we will also translate the material into English.
